
In addition to the non-fiction book Malta Following, I am also penning a radio play for BBC World
Service’s 2007 “International Radio Playwriting Competition.” In summary, it is
a spoof radio magazine piece that moves beyond examining Malta’s tourism industry (and particularly Brand Malta), to ask the ultimate question: does Malta actually exist -- or is it simply a fictional place, the stuff of myths?

BRAND MALTA CONSULTANT
We don't want people abroad thinking we're just another crap country with beautiful churches--
OUTLOOK REPORTER
But that's going to be quite a task, isn't it? I've looked in at a dozen or so of your Maltese churches this week. Let me just say this: you are going to have a difficult time convincing me they aren't beautiful. Not a dog among them.
